PROJECTS

PROJECT ONE
Neil Brown Engineering

We were contracted to carry out the electrical work of a project which primarily involved relocation of specialist engineering machinery from the York site to the Lincolnshire site based in Spalding.

This involved disconnecting the equipment at York and following it being relocated to the Spalding site providing several new electrical supplies. Various 3 phase supplies were installed and other existing supplies removed or relocated to accommodate the equipment relocated from York.

The works were carried out in a short time window to allow the machines to be recommissioned and calibrated to minimise disruption to production.

PROJECT TWO
Huntington Primary Academy

We carry out electrical work for the school on a regular basis and were asked to submit the cost to carry out total rewiring of the main hall following the replacement of the concrete roof with new steel insulated panels.

We engaged lighting suppliers to submit designs for the room taking into account it is used as a sports hall so any installation would have to be resistant to impact during activities.

It was agreed that Ansell Proline LED fittings would be used for the main hall area and walkway due to their output, efficiency and high impact rating.

The walkway fittings also included corridor dimming function to reduce the amount of energy used when the area is unoccupied.

Once the lighting and power installations were complete, we re-instated the audio visual equipment and replaced the old 500 watt theatre lights with new LED versions to reduce future running costs.

The high level lighting installation was carried out using steel lighting trunking suspended from the roof purlins and the sockets and lighting controls wired in steel conduit and trunking to withstand impact.

PROJECT THREE
The Bay Horse, Blossom Street York

While the pub was closed during the Covid outbreak, the management took the opportunity to carry out an extensive refurbishment.

We installed new festoon lighting to the front of the pub at high level and LED pelmet lighting to the back of the new bar.

We also installed LED spotlights to the interior and a number of new pendants and removal of the wall lights.

New brushed brass USB sockets installed to seating areas and most of the surface wiring around the pub including the sound system was removed or rewired and hidden into the fabric of the building. A complete overhaul of the electrics to the beer garden at the rear including new lighting and power supplies.

PROJECT FOUR
Swift Fitness York

We undertook the full electrical installation during the construction of this family gym in York.

We priced the job using the clients electrical specification and undertook the installation of lighting, power, supplies for HVAC equipment and the fire alarm & emergency lighting installations.
