Commercial Electrical Inspection Reports

Commercial Electrical Inspection Reports

We carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports for most types of commercial premises and communal areas of residential buildings.

The electrical installation condition report or EICR is sometimes referred to as a Periodic inspection or PIR. Having the report carried out is generally requested by insurance companies to ensure electrical installations in buildings are in a safe condition to enable continued use by its occupiers and members of the public. The frequency of the report varies depending on the type and use of the premises. The maximum frequency between inspections is 5 years for buildings such as shops, offices and schools. Places in a higher risk category are recommended to be tested more frequently such as swimming pools and caravan sites.

The extent and scope of the inspection is agreed with the client but it should be sufficient to establish the true condition of an installation. We provide a detailed report including a visual inspection of all accessible electrical equipment and results from testing of individual circuits. Upon completion of the report a quotation can be provided upon request to have any defects found rectified.
